Freestyler Got Updated For 2019

Freestyler was released in 1999 by the Finnish hip hop group Bomfunk MC’s and was an instant hit. I remember the music video so vividly while growing up. Freestyler felt pretty high tech with the portable MP3 player and the effects looked pretty cool for that era. Now 20 years later the music video has gotten an update. A Belgian telco brand, Telenet, have made a remake of the video – or an updated version…

Marc Rebillet Tour Updates

I have been following Marc Rebillet aka Loop Daddy on his tour through Europe every day, because he has been posting videos pretty much everyday on the tour. One of the better ones is this one from Cologne at a radio show with the host joining in on the fun. Oh, and not to forget that time he helped a guy from Sheffield propose. You can find more over at Marc Rebillet’s Youtube channel

TBT: 4 Producers, 1 Sample

Hey, I guess Throwback Thursday is still a thing. So here’s mine. It’s only 10 months old, but still deserve some air time in my opinion. I love the idea about different people getting one task and the same materials, just to see what they come up with each. So that’s what Andrew Huang does here. They pick one sample of a song, and then they each make a song with that. And the results…

Beth Roars Reacts to Pisces by Jinjer

I love watching reaction videos to Pisces by Jinjer. If you don’t know why, just watch this video. I’ve seen quite a few reaction videos and my main complaint is that people rarely really react and makes the idea with a reaction video redundant. I’ve also seen quite a few different people react to this particular song (for a good reason), but one of the best reactions is by far this one with Beth Roars.…

Funky Thursday with Marc Rebillet

I have recently discovered Loop Daddy aka Marc Rebillet. With his mac, midi keyboard and loop station he creates amazing comedic songs… on the fly! That’s right. Everything is improvised and made up on the spot. And I love it! Tonight he is playing live at ‘DR Koncerthuset’ in Denmark and I sadly don’t have a ticket. So unless he is streaming live from the venue, I guess I have to be satisfied with some…

GarageBand – First Session

Last night instead of jumping in front of the gaming rig, I decided to spend some time in my “office”. I still had a few moving boxes standing around so decided to put some of that away. In the box I found my old midi-keyboard. So I decided to plug it in and install GarageBand. After the moving box was emptied I fired up the program and over an hour later I had some building…

Caroline Rose – Animal (live from Lincoln Hall)

Lately I’ve been checking out random acts on Audiotree’s Youtube channel. So I randomly stumbled upon this singer/song writer’s music which I instantly fell in love with. [..] Rose delivers a set of serious songs wrapped in a sprightly, angsty pop burrito. Spotify Bio by Caroline Rose I like burritos! And I love the sound of the angsty pop rock songs Caroline has created. So I can wholeheartedly recommend checking her out. I have the…
